CCTV Installation Toronto
CCTV installation in Toronto covers new systems and the upgrade older buildings need: grainy analog cameras and a failing DVR swapped for sharp HD footage on your phone. We test the coax in your walls first, because good cable can often stay and carry HD video, which saves opening ceilings and lowers the cost.

Three ways to upgrade analog CCTV
- Keep the coax, change the ends. HD-over-coax cameras and a new recorder use the cable that is already there. It is the fastest, least messy upgrade, and the picture is far sharper than analog.
- Keep the coax, go IP. Where a run is too hard to replace, adapters let modern network cameras work over the old cable, so a mixed system can grow over time.
- Rewire with Cat6. A full IP camera system gives the best image and is the easiest to expand. It is the right call when cable is damaged or cameras need to move.
What the upgrade includes
- A new recorder with live view and playback on your phone and office computer.
- New cameras where coverage is missing, matched to the ones that stay.
- The old DVR and dead cameras taken down and removed.
- A walkthrough of how to find and export a clip.
How we decide
We check each run for signal, look at the connectors and power supply, and compare where the cameras are with where they need to be today. Shops get remodelled and entrances move, so a camera placed ten years ago may now watch a wall. Your written quote lists which runs stay, which get replaced and why.
If the system still works but has gaps or a dead camera or two, camera repair and upgradesmay be enough. For stores, restaurants and offices, seecommercial security camera installation, and for price ranges, the installation cost guide.
