Toronto Security Camera Installers

Security Camera Repair and Upgrades

Security camera repair gets a Toronto home or business system working again when cameras go dark, recording stops or the app will not connect, even if another company installed it. We find the actual fault first, then tell you plainly whether a repair or an upgrade costs less over the next few years.

Common faults we fix

  • Cameras dark or flickering: a power supply, PoE port or connector, often outdoors where water got in.
  • Recorder not saving: a failed or full hard drive, or a recording schedule someone changed.
  • App stopped working: a new internet provider or router, old firmware or lost passwords.
  • Blurry or blind at night: a fogged dome, failed infrared or spider webs over the lens.
  • Wrong date and time: footage with the wrong clock is hard to use as evidence.

What a service visit includes

We test every camera and the recorder, check how many days are actually being kept, set the clock, update firmware where it is safe to, and reset app access for the people who need it. You get a short written note of what we found and what we fixed. Tell us the brand and what the screen shows when you call, and we bring the likely parts on the first visit.

Repair or upgrade?

If most of the system is sound, we fix the weak parts and keep the rest. If the recorder is analog and several cameras are failing, replacing it usually costs less than chasing faults one at a time. An analog system can often keep its cable through a CCTV upgrade, or move to a wiredIP camera system.
